Bill: Mordusian Business Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Federal Republican Party (UCF)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2598

Description[?]:

We feel that it is completely absurd to allow people to go on "sympathy strikes" on matters that do not concern them. This may be extremly harmfull to business, the economy and by that, to the whole of Mordusia. Furthermore, we feel that this does not fall under the right to strike, as the right to strike is guaranteed for a good reason, and we feel that "secondary" strike is a very bad reason.

MessageThe MAU is unsure as to how to vote. The FRP puts forth excellent arguments, but the MAU also recognizes the right to free assembly and free conscience, so is torn.

MessageIt is the right of succesfull businesspeople that have worked all their life that is being put aside in favor of some lazy workers who just want some payed vacation, as we know the MAU loves freedom, including the freedom of businesspeople, we know they will support.

MessageThe FRP has a point. We will vote for this measure, unless the other side has a more convincing argument. However, we will go ABSOLUTELY NO FURTHER in restricting the right for workers to assemble and strike.
