Message | Articles as a Whole: I oppose for the combined reasons below. Article 1: I've considered this myself once upon a time, so won't directly oppose it. Article 2: Why should it matter what country they are coming from? Let's just let individuals come in from wherever if they qualify. Article 3: Equal representation means each region gets an equal number of seats. Therefore, if I live in Vagderra I have more representation than a person who lives in Zanyal simply because I live around fewer people. This is unfair and unequal. With the current option it is closer to everyone having an equal share of representatives. Article 4: No, governments have enough time as it is to enact their policies and this would make a term be 3.5 years. Why bother? Articles as a Whole: I oppose for the combined reasons above. |

Message | By the way, on article one, the proposing ability goes to the single largest party, which often can be far away from public opinion and the largest party just because it's distinguished itself by being different. If it allowed any of the top three parties, it would be okay, but it doesn't. I agree with the KPP on articles 2 and 3. Article 4, I could go either way on if it stood alone; but the system we have seem to be working all right. |

Message | PLP, Article 1 gives this power to the "Largest parties" not party. |

Message | I know by reading the forum that despite the wording it only gives one party, the one with the most seats, the power. If you think I'm wrong, please ask directly on the forum. |

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass. |
