Message | And we quote from the last bill about this: "Making prostitution illegal will only worsen the situation of women who have no other choice, so that should be good enough reason for keeping it legal no matter what your moral view of it is." And of course, driving it underground will also make it impossible to prevent things like the spread of STDs from prostitution and it'll strengthen organized crime since it will be able to get funds from pimping women out. |

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play". |
Random quote: "Capitalism and communism stand at opposite poles. Their essential difference is this: the communist, seeing the rich man and his fine home, says: 'No man should have so much.' The capitalist, seeing the same thing, says: 'All men should have as much.'" - Phelps Adams |
