MessageAs per Article One, Is the state defence corporation profitable?
And if so, if said profits were being used to cover the shortfalls in the budget what proposals have the JLC prepared to counter potential treasury losses?

MessageWell well, look who's back. It'll be interesting to watch how the old blowhard and the new blowhard interact with each other. :)

As with all government bureaus, the defense agency operated on a congressional budget. What revenue was generated from manufacturing or patent selling was cycled back into the agency, the costs of which always far outweighed income (no politician could justify such a program if the opposite was true). In this sense then the privatization of the industry could only be a boon to the marginal level of the treasury. However since all funding for such enterprises has been terminated, the argument is rather moot.

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map.

Random quote: "The answer to global warming is in the abolition of private property and production for human need. A socialist world would place an enormous priority on alternative energy sources. This is what ecologically-minded socialists have been exploring for quite some time now." - Louis Proyect
