Bill: NLP: Weapon Usage Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: National Labor Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2602

Description[?]:

The NLP believes that chemical, biological and nuclear weaponry should be developed and used in times of war. The defence of Malivian people and interests is vital to maintaining a strong future for our nation. We believe, however, that to maintain adequate civil rights, these weapons should only be used in non-civilian areas. Thus, we would only be fighting the militaries of other nations, rather than the innocent populations. Whilst we understand the belief that this law would only result in regional instability, the consequences of this are far less extreme than the potential fall-out that could occur if we were to be attacked and have no possible method of retaliation. We need to defend our glorious nation.

MessageBiological and chemical weapons is not used for defense.

May I suggest BIODEFENSE instead of bio warfare. Early detection of organisms and/or chemical, development of vaccines, development of antidotes.

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation.
