| My fellow representatives, as you all are aware Medina (formerly referred to as New Adelia) has become one of the gems that has surfaced from the cruelty of war. The area was war torn and ravaged for decades as the noble Dovanian and Sekowan soldiers specifically fought to take control of the area and re-take control twice, however in the time since the war has ended the people who have immigrated there have quickly been able to make it a prosperous region. However in this the people of the region have come to view themselves as more independent then most, do to a mixture of no physical connection between the rest of the Commonwealth and the area and their own history. Therefore we propose that the popular name, the 'Jamahiriya al Medina' , flag and emblem be adopted for the region. Further more we propose that the region be given a degree of autonomy to deal with certain situations that the region is more capable of dealing with then the rest of the Commonwealth. |
