Message | We can accept the 1. proposal, but the others, no way. The second would lead to division in races (not aparthaid, but the people would begin to think of the race issue as something more important) and that can lead to nationalism and racism. The third proposal would exclude other parties from making cabinet bills, the HoS already have the right to veto a cabinet proposal, but this proposal would mean, that the other parties wouldnīt even be able to propose a cabinet, and therefore they would loose interest in it, they would become "alienated" from the cabinet forming process. The 4. proposal would mean, that citizens, that are over 16 but under 18 years, would loose their voting right, and other rights of adulthood. |

Message | We applaud the Communists upon realising the importance and value of longer executive terms. We do however, believe that they are being quite short sighted in their reaction to the cabinet reforms. We strongly feel that as the Cabinet is lead by the Chancellor, he has the right to decide his own team of experts to help in in making the Government the best he can during his term. Should a Chancellor be outvoted on their own cabinet, they cannot possibly be expected to perform their duties to the same standard. After all, is that not what they were legally elected to do? Lead? The race registration would ensure that the government has a better understanding of the diversity of the nation. There is little logic in pretending that we are all one, because we should be respected and enjoying the vastness of culture in Cildania. The Government needs to have a good idea of who is in the country, in order to truely serve everyone. Citizens between the ages of 16 and 18 at this time would retain their voting rights however everyone not yet 16 would not recieve them until their 18th Birthday, in order to prevent their rights being stripped. |

Message | We do not "realise the importance and value of longer executive terms", we just havenīt got anything against it. We accept your protection of the adulthood age, but we still say no to the proposal. The people in Cildania should be treated as individuals and not as members of a race or religion. Althought many members of the same race have the same culture, there are also many differences between the individuals of the same race. |

Message | OOC: I'm on vacation and with little connection time, so I'll be brief The PLP supports most of the Communist argumentation - race should not be registered without any compelling reason to do so, and the cabinet proposal rights amendment is the logical way, but is not implemented due to the OOC resons mentioned (we ourselves proposed it, but we're now against). WRT the term length, it must NOT be a multiple of 6 months, because that is one day in real time, so elections would fall always at the same time of the day (and, for some people, that might mean at 4:00 AM). |
