Bill: Pharmaceutical Drugs Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Union of Work-Shy Elements
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2117
Description[?]:
To deny the right of life and healthcare by charging for the drugs used to cure and prevent illness is appalling. Rich or poor these vital medicines must be freely available to all. Subsidising drugs for low income families is a half hearted approach, fully subsidising for low income families is unfair to others. This approach is fair and responsible. |

Message | supported. Besides, we have a free healthcare system already, it would be hypocritical of us not to do this as well. |

Message | Sounds good in theory but not sure how much it will cost us!! |

Message | We won't support this no matter what, but may we still suggest that the government not pay for *ALL* citizens' drugs? Some people can afford drugs on their own. It is not efficient to tax an indivual then pay his bills for him. The government is better off allowing these individuals to pay their own bills. Tax revenue could then be used to pay the bills of those who could not otherwise afford certain goods and services, like pharmaceutical drugs. We do not support any form of governmental healthcare, but if the government is to involve itself then let it do so responsibly. There is no reason for the government to buy drugs for those who can afford to buy them without the government's help. We recommend the following proposal: "The government supplies free pharmaceutical drugs to those on low incomes" |

Message | I tend to agree with the Free Market Party as it doen't seem like sound economic practice. |

Message | We also agree with FMP; this proposal is unfair to the government and will actually increase the tax burden on the people of Kundrati. |
