Message | It is in society's best interests that contraceptives are available to all people who want them. If they are freely available, less women will have to resort to abortion, which is nothing but a good thing. |
Date | 03:11:37, July 12, 2008 CET | From | Liberty Party | To | Debating the Contraception Reform Act |
Message | It is not our job to supply contraceptives. Though we would love for it to be totally out of our hands and back in the private sector where it belongs, this is the next best step. |
Date | 03:20:17, July 12, 2008 CET | From | Judicial Union Party | To | Debating the Contraception Reform Act |
Message | If contraceptives aren't freely available, the poor of our nation will not have them. They're hardly going to stop having sex, so there will be increase numbers of STDs and unwanted pregnancies. The former will cost us in terms of medical expenses, the latter will cause numerous social problems. Pragmatically, we must provide them free. |
Date | 03:27:40, July 12, 2008 CET | From | Liberty Party | To | Debating the Contraception Reform Act |
Message | You forget that we are already handing out millions of tukars to supply these "free condoms". There's no such thing as a free lunch or a free condom. |
Date | 03:37:00, July 12, 2008 CET | From | Judicial Union Party | To | Debating the Contraception Reform Act |
Message | The costs are significantly less than the alternative. |
Date | 04:07:13, July 12, 2008 CET | From | Liberty Party | To | Debating the Contraception Reform Act |
Message | The costs are roughly the same once you break down the overall numbers. |
Date | 04:12:07, July 12, 2008 CET | From | Judicial Union Party | To | Debating the Contraception Reform Act |
Message | Condoms and other contraceptives are cheap. The social cost of unwanted children, leading to disproportionately increased expenditure in education and health, and increases in crime, is much more expensive. |
Date | 15:55:17, July 12, 2008 CET | From | Liberty Party | To | Debating the Contraception Reform Act |

Random fact: Cultural Protocol bills must provide a real-life equivalent or short description for the ethnic groups, languages and religions contained in them, such that it would be easy for an unfamiliar player to understand (e.g. "Dundorfian = German"). Where appropriate, they should also provide guidance to players on where to find help with translations and character names. This might include, for example, links to Google Translate, Behind the Name's Random Name Generator and Fantasy Name Generators. |
