Message | This would be a violation of the rights of privacy of the accused. It is important to distinguish between those who have been charged with a crime (many times they are innocent) and those who have been convicted of a crime (who are nearly always guilty). |

Message | the LLP agreeswith WFP. And also all persons must are innocent until convicted after a fair trial, so we will support breach the right to privacy to record DNA from persons only accused |

Message | I can see the Liberals like that there are Criminals out in the streets, which could've been taken in if we had this information. Try telling that to the families of those who got raped. "Sorry, we didn't pass legislation to take them down, we voted no" |
Date | 22:38:28, July 14, 2008 CET | From | The Liberal Party | To | Debating the DNA - Fight Crime Act |
Message | PP, even as much as we like to have tough laws with criminals, we cannot support this either. We agree with WFP. Accused is quite different from convicted. Most of the accused are, in fact, innocent. |

Message | Well, it's clear who want's to fight crime and not then. OOC: Yeah, I know you're a Conservative on those beliefs, and I practically knew there was only going to be me and the Republican party voting yes here. |
