Whereas, A resolution that permits false advertising was slipped into a bigger proposal, and Whereas, We hope it would not have passed on its own, We hereby propose that the following forms of advertising regulations be reinstated: 1) False or intentionally misleading advertising shall be illegal. 2) Advertising of tobacco, alcohol, and any other recreational drugs shall be illegal except in print media. These advertisements may not in any way be targetted to children. 3) Nudity may only be used in advertising if nudity is part of the content of television show or publication in which the advertising occurs, and only to the same extent as in the show or publication. |
