Bill: Act of Succession 2607
Details
Submitted by[?]: Covenanters (IA)
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 2608
Description[?]:
At the ripe old age of 87, and after years of mourning, we believe the time has come for Her Imperial Majesty to be laid to rest, using a suitably modified version of the article below to announce it: http://www.tchevalier.com/fallingangels/bckgrnd/victedw/qv/index.html In accordance with the http://particracy.wikia.com/wiki/Line_of_succession_to_the_Luthori_Throne#Line_of_succession the heir apparent is Philip, currently Emperor Philippe III of Alduria and our foreign secretary. After the death of Kaiser Godric: Philip's daughter, Josephine, is Empress Consort of Alduria. As he is currently styled "His Imperial Excellency" in accordance with Aldurian tradition, we propose that "Excellent" is incorporated into Philip's style, as "His Imperial and Most Excellent Majesty". |

Message | OOC: So you oppose the monarchy by forcing an old lady to remain on the throne, instead of handing over to her son? Like our honourable friend from Solidarity says... |

Message | OOC: Josephine, is Empress Consort of Hulstria, not Alduria. Also even if you oppose the monarch, you should see this as an OOC event, and thus nothing more than the monarch changing, to make it realistic. |

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
