While large agricultural conglomerates may be able to weather a bad season, small farmers with limited resources cannot. Many farmers cannot afford to replace obsolete of broken equipment, and depend upon the uncertain harvest for their simple livelihood. As part of providing economic security to our citizens, the state should provide subisides to farmers in need to ensure their businesses can remain afloat. |

Message | On looking through the choices I feel the current is the best, again why move this to a national level. It just means more control and paperwork for the farmers. Local governments can craft this policy to protect against abuse by gentleman farmers and the like. |
