Bill: Justice and Crime Reform (2608)
Details
Submitted by[?]: Normand Pluralist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 2609
Description[?]:
Certain areas may have crime at such alarming rates that a regular curfew could do wonders for crime rates. Though curfews are generally not desirable, this issue is best left to local governments. As Sekowo retains freedom of movement and this would not be possibly on a national level, possibility of abuse would be highly restricted. Malpractice regulations need to match the financial and medical situation of the locality in which they take place—if a particular locality has a dearth of doctors, it may be critical to ensuring proper healthcare that malpractice cases be limited to reduce the insurance fees of doctors and draw them to the region. On the other hand, if malpractice is rampant, a local government may need to not limit such suits to help remedy the situation. Only local governments are equipped to make these sorts of decision. |
