| This bill is designed to rectify some of the legislative crimes committed against the people of Kalistan within the last year. Several rights have been taken away from the people, and it is important to restore these social conquests. |

| Message | This is a compromise bill. It is designed to provide an increased measure of social control but not complete control. We beleive that tuition should be at the very least partially subsidized (and this leaves room for private subsidization as well, for those of you who insist upon a dual system), the banking industry to exist in a dual system, with the majority of large finance being regulated by the people, and small local banks remaining in the hands of private investors. The only portion that is more of the absolute position is the defense industry segment, which we believe should be entirely nationalized. For profit defense contractors create Kalistan as a black market for weaponry, and we, as a pacifist Party feel that the best way to stop the creation and sale of deadly weaponry is to have a government which shares the priorities of an adequately armed national defense, but no superfluous national military commitment, is to fully nationalize the defense industry, and guarantee that the only weapons created are those needed specifically by our armed forces. It will also assure us that we will have the weaponry we need when we need it, even if it is not profitable to produce it. If you support some modicum of a mixed system, this is an excellent bill, and we fully encourage your support. This bill is endorsed by the Ministries of Health and Social Services, Foreign Affairs, and Trade and Industry. |
