Message | What's wrong with having a little wine with your meal? We are unsure why the FRP, supposedly a fiscally responsible party, wants to make millions of children criminals overnight, and waste millions of dollars on imprisoning these kids who have done nothing wrong. |

Message | Yet these same children will be under-developed from the ability to gain alcohol. Simple and proven research tells us that children's nervous systems are extremely effected by alcohol. We are willing to vote for this Bill, but we encourage the FRP to move the stance to see if there is compromise with the Mordusian Austrian Union. |

Message | Nothing is wrong about having a little wine every week, adults are the only ones that can BUY acohol, then they may give it to whoever they wish. |

Message | "to make millions of children criminals overnight" Nothing in this proposal puts the responsibility down to the children. In the eyes of the UMA, if this legislation was to pass, the responsibility should be held by the licensed outlet. The legislation says nothing about who may drink alcohol, as stated by the FRP. Therefore, this legislation is truly in the best interests of all people of Mordusia. We strongly support this bill. |

Message | And depending on the policy, it may encourage overzealous police officers to conduct sting operations for the sole purpose of draining alcohol vendors of money. (OOC: It happens here in PA a lot, bastard cops. D: ) We must stand against this measuer on principle. Alcohol is not some sort of vicious demon. There is no reason why the government must be the parent. |

Message | We agree that if consumned in moderation, alcohol can be a good thing, but many medical studies show that children and teenagers that are still in development may be greatly harmed by alcohol overdoses. We will make sure at the justice department that law enforcement is not overzealous. |

Message | The MAU doesn't buy it. They can be greatly harmed, yes, and that's the parent's responsibility, and the responsibility of the seller. I do not recall there being a law on the books that states that sellers must engage in business with potential buyers. And the MAU does not accept the FRP's assurances. While the MAU has great respect for the FRP, socially conservative legislation, when left unchecked, always leads to government exploitation, regardless of the party. |

Message | The internal affairs division will make sure the police does not go unchecked, we are moving to vote. |
Date | 18:04:31, July 23, 2008 CET | From | Alliance Res Publica (UCF) | To | Debating the Public Health Act II |
Message | The ARP must rescind its former stance and suggest that the only regulation is for adults, not for licensed outlets. |

Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election. |
