MessageUtter rubbish. Advertising is not a free speech issue, because corporate interests are not guaranteed citizen rights.

We prefer a system like the current Likatonian one, where products are promoted or condemned by independent watchdog organisations conducting fieldtesting of the actual goods.

No claims that fail to materialise. No false or misleading packaging. Just nonpartisan review of whether or not the product is actually any good at what it aims to be good at.

How is corporate advertising BETTER than that? Because - if it isn't - why downgrade our customer service?

MessageIn what way? Good customer service is good customer service... capitalist, communist, existentialist, it's no matter.

Independent analysis has to be somewhat more reliable than merely respecting the self-made claims of someone desparate to make a sale - and that doesn't change just because of the economic model.
