Message | Even proven falsehoods? We detect hypocrisy in the wannabe-conservatives camp. |

Message | You obviously don't have a very good sense of humor. And secondly, we are not hypocritic in any way. If somebody wants to believe something that is proven wrong, they should be allowed to under the law, its called freedom of thought, and they should be allowed to express it, freedom of expression. You sir, are a moron. |

Message | The problem with this is the slander. Some people would use it to speak their mind, others to use it for propaganda and lies. I think saying anything may be said as long as it is true and not slandering others. |

Message | We can't just shut our people up because something is politically correct or offensive. As for telling proven falsehoods, I don't want the g-o-v-t telling me what is real and false. I'm sure all of the new parties would agree with that. for example OOC: people have the right to deny the holocaust, despite sounding really stupid. In Iran, if they banned "falsehoods" no one would be allowed to say the holocaust really did happen, and just becuase their govt claims it didnt happen and is a false story. |

Message | OOC: We're still having this 'in-character' problem here, TCP. "You... are a moron" is (sounds like?) an attack againt a player, not a party. |

Message | The spenocrats confuse 'falsehood' with 'official version'. Just because the government says it, doesn't make it ture - that's why you have to provide evidence. There's no logic to allowing people to print claims that are untrue - you'll just confuse people who don't have access to the facts, or who are easily convinced. OOC: Out-of-character example: a lot of US citizens believe Obama is a muslim, and that he was sworn into office on a Koran - because those rumours have circulated widely, and few people feel the need to check their ownf facts. Indeed, a lot of people don't WANT to check. |
