Bill: The Liore Herald
Details
Submitted by[?]: Neo-Imperial Peoples Vanguard Party (IA)
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2617
Description[?]:
A Luthori National Newspaper since 1789. Its history is extremely vague, traced as far back as the first printing presses came to be used commonly in the late 1600s. The Liore Herald took on national prominence and shed the primarily upper-class appeal in the late 1700s when it was bought by an optimistic entrepreneur, John Walter. Most of the paper, till about the 1900s, has been local news. The paper has been geared by David R. Francis for national and international news and will likely attempt to build its reputation for more global news. It will be extremely unbiased, as the new owner, David Francis is a moderate himself, has pledged an unbiased paper. It will be "Fair and Balanced" as he has stated. It is still, however, written in a conservative manner and is not as flashy as some other papers, just the facts. OOC: I've been looking over the news threads. We don't really have an active one, so I thought I'd try to make one up. |

Random fact: Alduria, Rildanor and Lourenne all have Canrilaise (French) cultures. |
Random quote: "The first step in freeing yourself from social restrictions is the realization that there is no such thing as a 'safe' code of conduct, one that would earn everyone's approval. Your actions can always be condemned by someone, for being too bold or too apathetic, for being too conformist or too nonconformist, for being too liberal or too conservative. So it's necessary to decide whose approval is important to you." - Harry Browne |
