Message | there's evidence that clearly coorelates exposure to western, (primarily american), advertising with the higher prevalence of psychological disorders, for example bulimia and anorexia. widespread propaganda has clear negative effects that go far enough to cause self-injury on those unable to conform to ridiculous advertising ideals - ideals that are created with the aim of being unattainable and necessitating a product. |

Message | Things like Bulemia and Anorexia increace in a positive correlation with the ideals presented by female role-models, not advertising. Attributing things to be more common in the west, particuarily America, is simply attributing them to be more common in a capitalist society, and it is very difficult to then claim advertising has an effect above all else |
