Bill: Benefits Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Liberal Conservatives
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2614
Description[?]:
At the moment those with income guaranteed by the government have no incentive to go out and find work as the government already gives them a reasonable income, this leaves them in a poverty trap where they perceive themselves to be better off on benefits rather than working. What we propose is a system whereby we guarantee enough income so our people have a safety net but there is a strong incentive to go back to work as soon as possible. |
