Bill: Condemnation of Communism
Details
Submitted by[?]: Union Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2615
Description[?]:
We, the Federal Assembly, in the name of all the people of Mordusia, do hereby absolutely condemn communism. We do not recognize the right of any communist government to govern any country. We condemn three main points of communism especially and without question: 1) The denial of the existance of God. 2) The denial of the right of the people to own property. 3) The denial of the right of the people to think, act, and speak as they please. We call on other nations to also speak out against the degenerate political philosophy known as Communism, and to pledge to combat it within their own nations. Should this resolution pass, the minister of Foreign Affairs shall be required to post the text of this bill as a press release on behalf of the Mordusian Federal Republic to the entire world. |

Message | I fear you are talking about fascism. Communism is not a political philosophy but rather an economic one with political undertones. While yes the Government does control all industry this still does not make it a matter of politics but rather of what is economically percieved as best for the nation. Also according to most communists and socialists the idea of suppressing civil freedom is detestful. You are referring to Stalinism which is in fact fascism hiding under the sheeps cloak of socialism. Also, by so adamently protesting this ideology you are infact becoming the very thing you abominate: A fascist. As such we will not support tyranny but grant people the right to believe as they so choose. If they wish to be stupid and follow the communist ideal, that is their business as free people. |

Message | The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Brendan Carter, declares his utter disgust at this bill, and vows that he will never send this message to the world whilst he remains a member of politics, regardless of how this vote turns out. No party or ideology has the right to deny the existance of any other party or ideology as this would completely work against the democratic system. |

Message | We will every day discourage and call out authoritarian expansionist communism; however, we do not denounce the rights of the people to believe in communism. |
