Message | Alliance Res Publica firmly stands opposed to this Bill. The Churches and generous people of Mordusia can be trusted to help their fellow man without government intervention. We ask if the Union Party believes that the Catholic Church, a large and generous entity, would be willing to give charity to those struggling to raise children or work at their job. We must join together with our fellow brothers of the Faith to help the needy. We do not, however, trust the monolithic waste of spending that is the government to provide this aid. |

Message | We believe redistribution of wealth to be one of the pillars of socialism and theft. The government has no right taking a citizen's money to give it to another, possibly lazy, citizen. |

Message | Agreed with my fellow market colleague parties. welfare is subsidizing the poor. When you subsidize something, you get more of it. |

Message | We would definitely support this bill. |

Message | Child benefit benefits the child. No child should suffer for a parent's laziness. Also, a living wage is paid by employers, not the government. Those who are not working (except those who are disabled) will not benefit. This is to prevent slave labor, where employees are paid 5 cents an hour. |

Message | I never thought I would say this, but the MSLP will endorse the Unionists. However it does bring about the question of why you so vehemently oppose socialism when this is precisely what you are here advocating. |

Message | Every error has some truth. |
Date | 04:14:10, August 02, 2008 CET | From | Union Party | To | Debating the Life in Mordusia Act |
Message | Sean Fitzgerald, unofficial head of the Progressive wing of the party, wishes to remind the other parties that not all Unionists are violently anti-communist, and some even embrace socialism. |

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
