Bill: Tobacco Alteration Bill
Details
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2615
Description[?]:
For a period in the last Parliament our whips did not fulfill their job correctly, and as such some legislation was voted upon without any Conservative MP's being present. A Bill on Tobacco legislation passed, one which had we been present would have been defeated, thus we are forced to attempt to overturn this new legislation and restore the old law. |

Old value:: There are no regulations on the sale of tobacco.
Current: There are certain restrictions on the sale of tobacco and only adults may purchase tobacco.

Message | We realise it is not exactly the same as the old law, but we do not see the need for restrictions, other than that concerning who can purchase the product. |
Date | 19:19:51, August 01, 2008 CET | From | The Liberal Party | To | Debating the Tobacco Alteration Bill |
Message | Even though there should be regulations on the sale of tobacco, this proposal is certainly better than the current law. |
