Bill: Changing Representation
Details
Submitted by[?]: Neo-Imperial Peoples Vanguard Party (IA)
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2617
Description[?]:
"Lets change our representation so we can have a body that represents everyone!" Right now, there are at least 210 million that live in our country, yet we represent only 175, how is that at all fair? Indeed, in the last election only 159 million could vote, but that number will increase in only a few years after the passing of this bill, we have to anticipate this. I feel only one representative for one million is too much, it should be more like 100,000 to every representative, but now that would mean 2000 representatives, it isn't realistic, but at least we can do 200. |
Proposals

Message | Mr. Speaker, No surprise the Nationalists are voting against representation for the people, even if it isn't about politics and more about procedure. I yield. |

Message | It has almost always been 175 seats, and it was our party that made it so. For TRADITION! |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Hmm... actually it was almost always 750, that was more recent than what we have now. Our nation was found a long time ago, we had a lot of traditions, in fact, abortion was one. Just because your party did so, great, your finally working. But now, it isn't feasible, it isn't right. I yield. |

Message | Mr Speaker, We outlawed the murder of the unborn in October 2105 (http://80.237.164.51/particracy/main/viewbill.php?billid=16720) just as Luthor was emerging from the dark ages: but the Honourable Gentleman is correct that 600 or 750 seats, with equal representation for the duchies, is the tradition here. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, I see no reason why we can't do both now, in the tradition of tradition. I yield. |

Random quote: "In Germany they first came for the Communists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me--and by that time no one was left to speak up." - Pastor Martin Niemoller |
