| Once the monarchy is abolished and the title of the head of state changed, it seems it would be appropriate to change a few other names. These are all up for reconsideration, and all constructive input will be appreciated. Also, upon passage this bill will rename our great country "The Grand Federation of Pontesi". This, too, is subject to debate. |

| Message | We can understand your reluctance to change anything, but you know well that this bill is likely to pass. Given that, perhaps you could have some ideas; I think you would agree that the word "atabeg", which refers to someone subordinate to a monarch, is inappropriate for a country that does not recognize a monarch as head of state. And I have no idea what "accipitrum" means, nor what it really has to do with our history other than being a really old title. I would love to have a distinctly Pontesian title for ourselves but nothing comes to mind. Also, as far as the parliament's name is concerned, we cannot continue to make reference to the Cedar Throne when we are divorcing the government from it. We'd be happy to hear some ideas. |

| Message | Ghost from the past here... :) It's quite incredible how long it's lasted to be honest... "Atabeg Accipitrum" means "Atabeg of the Hawks", the national symbol of the nation being a Red-Tailed Hawk if not now, than at the time. There were implications of it being a servant of the nation though symbolism. The Cedar Throne existed before the monarchy; after the collapse of an RP'ed Deltarian Empire before game time and agreed on the forum, the regions of North-western Majatra (the continent) were independent kingdoms, in-fighting to establish some sort of order. A bit like Europe when the Roman Empire collapsed. Pontesi (an Anglicisation of "Pntezi" meaning "Bridged" in the Jelbic indigenous languages of the continent, long disused) was formed by an alliance of the five in the region, with a rotating leadership as each took it in turns to lead. They assumed the Cedar Throne for their time period. It was more a republic of small monarchies than a Monarch of states. |
