Description[?]:
OOC: I know, it took me long enough. IC: As it has become increasingly vital to the continued prestige of the Hulstrian Monarchy that explicit rules for the inheritance of Imperial Throne be set down, we the KHP, as the Monarchy's most direct representatives in the Imperial Diet, anounce the following rules, as based upon almost a Millennium of tradition: 1. Succession to the throne will be defined by Male-Preference Primogeniture. 2. Succession to the throne will be defined by Agnatic-Cognatic Succession/Semi- Salic Law. 3. Succession to the throne will be defined by Proximity of Blood. 4. In order to ascend to the throne, a candidate must be of the Lutheran Faith upon the day of their coronation, and must remain in good standing with the Terran Lutheran Church for the rest of their reign. 5. In order to ascend to the throne, a candidate's spouse must be Protestant by the day of the candidates coronation, and must remain so for the duration of the Monarch's reign. 6. Only those of the Protestant Faith may hold a position in the Line of Succession to the Imperial Throne. 7. Persons of illegitmate birth shall not be included in the Line of Succession to the Imperial Throne, unless their parents subsequently wed. 8. A candidate must have reached a majority of eighteen years of age in order to rule, should a candidate inheirate the Imperial Throne before their eighteenth birthday, a Regent, selected by the a Council of Nobles from the Imperial Family, shall rule in their name until such a date. 9. All of the above may be circumvented by a sitting Monarch, so long as, the sitting Monarch is clear as to whom is to succeed the the Monarch and is deemed competent at the time of the declaration by a practicing, reputable psychologist. 10. An Heir may be disqualified from inheirating the throne prior to their ascension, if a Council of Nobles convened upon the death of the former Monarch deems the Heir unfit. In order to be deemed unfit, the Heir must be proved to not have the best interests of the Hulstrian Nation, be estranged or unfamiliar with Hulstrian Culture and Society. |

Message | OOC: Part 9 amused me. Wonder if King George III of England wouldn't have made it... :D Perhaps change the front of the title of the bill to "ARCHIVE:" and leave it in debate so it stands out if new parties wish to consult it. |
