From | Holy Eliyahu Confession | To | Debating the Shadow Budget proposal of October 2618 | Message | as our shadow budget and shadow tax proposal shows, more restrained spending and moderate tax increases can fund the expansion of the state into heath, education, and social service sectors without harming the economy. |

From | Holy Eliyahu Confession | To | Debating the Shadow Budget proposal of October 2618 | Message | we proposed tripping education funding. I'd hardly call that too small. If you want to drastically increase spending, you should consider cutting other costs before just trying to pass everything on the people.
Tax and spend is a strategy for disaster. |

From | Collectivist Party of Lodamun | To | Debating the Shadow Budget proposal of October 2618 | Message | Generally I think the coalition in power believes in tax and spend, so the Christian Democrats will have to expect that that will be part of our agenda. We will try to be reasonable and will take advice from the Christian Democrats, but we do not see the need for any cuts in spending at the moment. The hikes in education and HHS spending are admirable in this budget, but cuts elsewhere will force us to vote no. |

From | Holy Eliyahu Confession | To | Debating the Shadow Budget proposal of October 2618 | Message | Our defense budget is still bloated from overcommitments made by the Liberals. I strongly encourage the Collectivists to make it clear that they will not be sucked into such disastrous spending mistakes. Financially i think we can easily reconcile the desire of the Collectivists to support greater social welfare and still keep taxes within reason for all citizens if we show some level of restraint in how much we commit to spending in other sectors. |

From | The Liberal Party | To | Debating the Shadow Budget proposal of October 2618 | Message | If you are going to make any statements, please do some research. The commitments we have are commitments by the Government of the United Republics of Lodamun. All the Defense Contracts were passed, democratically, by Parliament and we will certainly honor those contracts. We hope you understand the meaning of a contract. We received the equipment already, we must pay for them.

From | Holy Eliyahu Confession | To | Debating the Shadow Budget proposal of October 2618 | Message | Fine, then cut troop levels. The point is that your governance has been marked by pouring money into defense and aggressive policies which make us far more insecure than cutting our defense to a maintainable level ever will. Other parties voted for those increases, but your party is the only ones that are still around and since you proposed them you are accountable for them. |
