Bill: Mordusian Justice Reform
Details
Submitted by[?]: Federal Republican Party (UCF)
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2621
Description[?]:
Appeals on most non-violent cases waste a tremendous amount of time and are useless. We propose to limit appeals only to extremly grave cases. This contains a clause citing that this will only be enacted at the national, not the state level. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The right to appeal against a judgement rendered by a court.
Old value:: Every person has the right to appeal against a judgement and to have it reviewed by a higher court.
Current: Every person has the right to appeal against a judgement and to have it reviewed by a higher court.
Proposed: Judgements may only be appealed against for grave procedural errors.

Message | This is absurd. Should this pass, a very spiteful judge could send someone to prison on a whim, and that person would have no recourse. This would also destroy our entire justice system. |

Message | We also feel that not all trials "before" were acceptable, hence, the need for appeals. |
