Description[?]:
President Robert Bayer, in conjunction with the Working Families Party, the Collectivist Party, and the Lodamun Christian Democrats, has called for the resignation of Prime Minister Williams. Her recent actions have been much too forward, especially regarding the military. Indeed, while Prime Minister Williams might be the First Commander of the Armed Forces, it is President Bayer who is the Commander in Chief, and her actions are fine examples of what can only be called subordination, at the very least. Furthermore, by moving military units to our borders, she jeopardized the security of our nation, yet did not see fit to consult with, let alone inform, the President and Commander in Chief. This behavior has been unacceptable. At the same time, we recognize that Liberal Party and Prime Minister Williams and different entities. This is why we are willing to allow the Liberal Party to appoint a different member to the post, after the Prime Minister resigns. Furthermore, to allay future confusion about this, we have proposed a piece of legislation which will eliminate the need to distinguish between politician and party. It is silly, and, at present, it is simply pretense. If the Liberal Party will please name a candidate to replace PM Williams, it would be greatly appreciated. Should the Liberal Party choose not to appoint a replacement, a new Cabinet will be proposed, without them in it. |

Message | OOC: If I resign, then I will lose the post. If I don't resign then her name will still appear as Prime Minister. Propose another cabinet so I can change the name. |

Message | We would prefer if another cabinet was proposed and we would then appoint another person to serve in that post. |

Message | While the Liberal Party fully supports Prime Minister Williams, the recent debates have gone too far and we feel it is deviating us from the real problems our citizens have. We will ask Prime Minister to step down and she will not be our nominee should a cabinet be proposed. |

Message | OOC: Don't try to be too smart. If I resign, I will lose the position. If another cabinet is proposed, I will change the name but I will not resign and lose the position. Game mechanics will not let me appoint a replacement. I resign, I lose the position. |

Message | ooc: dont be so snappy. seeing as a new cabinet has been proposed, i'd assume Williams would resign anyways. |

Message | OOC: I feel the need to make this clear: Since I didn't resign, Mrs. Williams will go down in history as having stepped down and replaced, not forced to resign. |

Message | ooc: either she resigned or was replaced in the cabinet by force. I think your trying to say the latter. it must of course also be noted that she was overwhelmingly asked to resign before being removed by a hostile parliament. |

Message | OOC: She was not removed. That's what I am trying to say. She simply was not nominated again and her term in office ended. Basically, it is like President George W. Bush on January 20th, 2009. He will step down because his term ended. I will also like to point out that Parliament has no power to remove an official unless it is by impeachment. I know that you know what that is. |
