Bill: Repeal of Formal Paramilitary Ban Act!

Details

Submitted by[?]: Telamon National Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 2629

Description[?]:

We believe that this is a pointless law that has had no effect apart from creating more red tape for the people of Telamon and making it harder for groups to protect themselves and their property. Also this law would weaken our nation in times of war and invasion which we believe is a bad thing for our people and we must ensure our people are able to group and defend themselves and our nation.

FPB: http://80.237.164.51/particracy/main/viewbill.php?billid=200905

So this Act is to repeal the FPB.

MessageIn a democracy no party is justified in maintaining a private military militia, and civil defence arrangements can be made without having to resort to this.

MessageThe TNP's true colours shining through. I will not be surprised if a military state is the next step. As long as democratic parties remain, we will not allow Telamon to become a dictatorship led by the TNP fascists.

MessageWe do not think these are the TNP's "true colours shining through" Mrs. Hirst. If you didn't know that the TNP would support a bill like this, then I don't know where you've been the past century. The TNP's true colors aren't, all of a sudden, shining through here, most parties in Telamon know exactly how the TNP operates and exactly what bills they will be seeking in Parliament. The RP and the DCD should both know exactly what the Telamon National Party are all about, both parties have been in Telamonese politics for quite some time now. We both know that the TNP have some political ideologies that I do not agree with, in fact they support some policies that I down right loathe, but I also loathe the policies of other parties in Telamon. The parties in Telamon have not allowed this bill to be repealed, because we, the parties of Telamon, know how to keep power in check. We ask the RP and the DCD to take their lack of respect for the TNP elsewhere, as they are a large part of Telamonese politics. We do not need repeated public reprimands of the TNP, and I would greatly appreciate if you treat the party that holds the Presidency and the Prime Ministry with a little respect. I would ask the same if the RP and the DCD were holding those offices.
