| The status of adulthood has been debated several times in our legislature. Neither age nor a test of knowledge has been deemed appropriate as a means to judge a person's maturity or ability to live what may be considered an acceptable life. Given this situation, the Technocrat Bloc is curious. If we cannot agree as to what should determine the allowance of rights and responsibilities of adulthood as it is commonly understood, would it be viable to completely take government out of the debate? It is a dangerous concept that puts much more people at risk for legal and social complications, yet, also something that guarentees a governmental freedom of equality unseen in any of Terra's nations. Everyone, regardless of sex, ethnicty, or age would be equal in rights and responsibility under Egelion's laws. |
