Bill: Freedom of Assembly Act

Submitted by[?]: Progressive Left Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 2631
Description[?]:
Current law allows the police to disburse public assemblies "if they believe it poses a potential risk to public safety." This clause has led to widespread abuses against the public's right to assemble and protest against government policies, and has led to crackdowns and abuses against those who have dissented. The Freedom of Assembly Act will remove the right of the police to invoke this clause. |

Message | "This clause has led to widespread abuses against the public's right to assemble and protest against government policies, and has led to crackdowns and abuses against those who have dissented." I beg your pardon? The Supreme President was unaware of such goings on, as was the Home Secretary. As head of the Metropolitan Police, both the Internal and Justice Secretaries would be aware if this was happening. Clearly this is nothing but bizarre communist propaganda, Solentia has been your type before! |
