Message | We've proposed this before and we still believe this is a reasonable measure. |

Message | Why though? This includes no provision for horse racing, greyhound racing etc. Just seems to be pointless, inefficient regulation. |

Message | That's a lacune in the proposals. For the sake of argument, we choose to classify these and other, officially recognized avenues of gambling under 'licensed casinos'. This law is aimed specifically against illegal backstreet gambling operations run by criminals. |

Message | "This law is aimed specifically against illegal backstreet gambling operations run by criminals." Ummm...if it's legal everywhere, as it is, there is no illegal backstreet gambling operations. Banning it, such as you would be doing, everywhere but casinos and homes will create illegal backstreet gambling. |

Message | Yeah, it’s pretty ironic that a bill supposed to stop crime would actually create crime where it is currently non-existent. And no we are not just saying legalise everything and then we won’t have any crime. This is just silly, we will vote no. |

Message | *sigh*. It's going on unchecked now; making it a crime would allow the government to do something about it. |

Message | Yeah, but you see we don’t think it’s a problem in the first place. |
