Date | 23:52:31, September 06, 2008 CET | From | United Blobs | To | Debating the RP Nuclear Power Bill |
Message | We support this bill as it will allow a greater usage of renewable energy sources but we question the wisdom of a "nuclear phase-out" (whatever it means in practise) |
Date | 00:50:50, September 07, 2008 CET | From | Hobrazian Extraordinary Gentlemen's Club | To | Debating the RP Nuclear Power Bill |
Message | Hobrazia leaves the right to use nuclear weapons in any circumstances; same as it keeps the right to develop and produce these weapons. Our country might as well be using the nuclear power in peaceful purposes. This stimulates research in both militaristic and non-military spheres. |
Date | 08:52:53, September 07, 2008 CET | From | Classical Liberal Party | To | Debating the RP Nuclear Power Bill |
Message | WE do not support any "phase-out" of nuclear armaments or power, but support this bill as it removes regulation. |
Date | 12:12:04, September 07, 2008 CET | From | We Say So! Party | To | Debating the RP Nuclear Power Bill |
Message | Nuclear power is clean, efficient, and produces the largest and cheapest form of energy to our ever growing population. To encourage a "phase-out" without any attempt at replacement would be foolish. |
Date | 15:15:15, September 07, 2008 CET | From | (NWO) Church of Death | To | Debating the RP Nuclear Power Bill |
Message | Nuclear power is dangerous. It produces waste that takes thousands, or even millions of years to get rid of. |
Date | 15:19:32, September 07, 2008 CET | From | United Blobs | To | Debating the RP Nuclear Power Bill |
Message | Then why aren't you banning it? |
Date | 15:23:54, September 07, 2008 CET | From | (NWO) Church of Death | To | Debating the RP Nuclear Power Bill |
Message | Since most of our energy is produced by nuclear power, we can't just remove it all at once. We have to do it in phases. |
Date | 00:36:53, September 08, 2008 CET | From | We Say So! Party | To | Debating the RP Nuclear Power Bill |
Message | Nuclear power is one of the safest means of producing energy compared with almost any other system barring perhaps some renewable sources. The instances of issues within nuclear power stations are far fewer than, for example, coal plants whilst producing vastly less waste. Moreover, the limited waste produced by nuclear power plants can itself be utilised for other uses allowing the actual instance of waste to be even lower. |
