Bill: Anarch Anakrousite Reform Bill - Think of the Children (ii)
Details
Submitted by[?]: Commonwealth Workers Army
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2120
Description[?]:
The Anarch Anakrousite Party sees opportunity, and thinks maybe the time has come, for some small changes to our education system. Our representatives have made one of these suggestions before, and offered a similar action (that has already passed) on the other concern. Our suggestions are as follows: 1) An attempt to make the education system a little more libertarian, and to simplify the education system. We propose that ALL schools be private, and that the government can sponsor the disadvantaged through those schools - effectively maintaining the ability of the poor to STILL obtain a 'free' education - but in a more competitve education system. 2) Prohibition of physical punishments in schools. Likatonian citizens have the right not to be attacked - we think it necessary to extend this right to protect those least able to proptect themselves - our children. |

Message | Due to article 2 limiting the freedom of schools to set what they consider appropiate disciplanary standards, we must regretfully oppose. Should article 1 be sent up seperate in the future, we would be happy to give support. |

Message | We see it the other way around. Article two we have been campaigning for ourselves, wheras article one is once again attempting to privatise areas which the LPE wishes to see controlled by the state. We must oppose, though the opposition of article 2 pains us. |

Message | Response to the LPE - yes, it DOES privatise the industry - but that doesn't mean it must detract. And the voucher scheme means nobody has to 'lose out'. |
