Message | How is this any improvement in our society. We allow people with money to actively separate themselves from the rest of society increasing social tensions as well as artificially increasing the costs of housing in areas where there is no requirement to do so. This bill is bad for social cohesion and the economy merely helping instil a feeling of "haves" and "have nots". |

Message | The private sector - as the one that is owned by individual or group of individuals, which means it is property of a person, and this act simply allows those who desire to "separate" themselves from the rest of society to do so, in regards to any reasons and motives they might have. We believe it will not cause any problems since only the owners of the land will be able to get permission to create any sort of a fence or the "gated community". Which is one of the rights the person having ownership over the certain territory should have granted to them. We do not admit that this bill might negatively influence "social cohesion", we believe that this bill will positively affect the population, bringing development to the private sectors, stimulating the economy. |

Message | A gated community separates one group of people from another. Its very nature damages social cohesion as access to services within aforementioned community are denied those outside of said community creating tension between the "haves" and "have nots". Whilst an individual deciding to place a large wall or fence around their individual property is their choice, what this bill does is allow groups of people to erect large walls around whole communities and actively separate themselves from others. How can it have any other effect but to damage social cohesion. In the words of our right honourable friends the FPoH: "A step backwards". |

Message | We believe that if there are no social problems in the state then there will not be so many people using this option. If the gated communities will be appearing at a face pace, then it will be a great signal to us that there is something wrong with the society. The bill has permissive nature, not the obligatory or compulsory. So the people not willing to be cut off from the "main land" and the rest of society will not do so. |
