Bill: Income tax proposal of December 2643 (to restore the Progressive Tax code, up from the flat tax)

Details

Submitted by[?]: Alorian Populist Party (DemCoa)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2644

Description[?]:

The Social Populist Party propose to adjust the government's income tax policy to better address the economic situation of the Democratic Republic of Aloria. I had signed on to MLP's tax proposal because it increased revenues, I do not however agree we should have a flat tax code. This restores progressivity to the tax code and mantains revenue levels.

After MLP's proposal passsed, GDP went down more then 100 billion. It is clear that a flat tax is not as efficient as were progressive taxes.

Random quote: "I worked at a factory owned by Germans, at coal pits owned by Frenchmen, and at a chemical plant owned by Belgians. There I discovered something about capitalists. They are all alike, whatever the nationality. All they wanted from me was the most work for the least money that kept me alive. So I became a communist." - Nikita Khrushchev
