Message | I support, but need to think about this more. Perhaps a post on the impact on the overall budget? |
Date | 01:39:04, October 03, 2008 CET | From | Holy Eliyahu Confession | To | Debating the Luxury Stimulus Act |
Message | this would cut our national income proceeds by aproximately 8.5 billion LOD, which removes almost all of our excess surplus. With corporate taxes eliminated this leaves income tax as the primary form of government income. |
Date | 01:56:50, October 03, 2008 CET | From | The Liberal Party | To | Debating the Luxury Stimulus Act |
Message | If it reduces our revenue that much then we will be in deficit spending. Our current surplus is barely over 7.5 billion LOD. We woul like to alert all parties to please reconsider this bill. A deficit is the last thing we need in this country. |

Message | perhaps the Liberals would note that we have run a surplus of over 20 billion LOD for several years? |

Message | Not quite. We have run surpluses like that for some months are a time. There is no need to be in deficit spending, that is irresponsible and wrong. Management. management, management. That's what we have always advocated and thanks to us, this country hasn't seen a deficit in over one hundred years. |

Message | Then the government should consider cutting spending to pay for this tax cut. |

Message | Not giving the tax cut would be a good idea as well. |

Message | Apparently the Liberals are the only ones who seem to think that way. |
