Message | I believe while it should be legal for them to have their schools it should be regulated so we know they are not breeding religious fanatics on our soil. Although it's also a restriction of their religious freedoms, it prevents any acts of terrorism arising from said fanaticism, or being known as an exporter of fanaticism. I know fanaticism may sound harsh, but if any age group is going to take religion to a dangerous level of devotion, it's the teenage demographic. That being said, religion can help to instill important life values in our youth that they may otherwise be lacking due to an unhealthy home life or similar such circumstances. We as a government should be setting the happy medium, albeit with flexibilities, that religious schools are to follow. This will act as a preventative measure to the aforementioned risks, and to keep the schools from becoming financially corrupt (calling themselves a religious school, whilst they only do so to turn a profit from a quasi-privatized education system). Thank You, The WLD. |

Message | Religions are dangerous, but we cannot restrict them. Non-religious movements can equally breed fanatics. A communist school (or capitalist school, we have no bias) could likewise produce students who are willing to commit terrorist acts for their cause. The mere fact that they are religious schools shouldn't single them out. |

Message | Last time I checked, non-religious schools have an anti-politics policy, preventing educators of swaying students' opinions in any way, and allowing them to develop their own views and opinions regarding politics. I would go as far as saying Religion and Politics have no place in the education system, but that would be an infringement on their freedoms as people, and not my place to do so. |

Message | Religious schools are equally as bound as non-religious schools to certain standards of conduct. The point here is that they do not need additional regulation on top of that given to ordinary schools. |

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play". |
