| This resolution aims to privatize the Alorian Industrial Space Station, a space station owned 51 per cent by the government and 48 per cent by Zeta Works. This resolution has been raised in Parliament on the following basis: - Current Alorian laws state, and we quote, "The government shall issue permits to private space-exploration companies." The intention for the passage of this law was because it aimed to make sure that such companies would be owned solely by private individuals and that the government's role in it would be to regulate it and issue permits to it. This law was passed specifically TO KEEP THE GOVERNMENT FROM BECOMING A PART-OWNER of a space-exploration company. (http://80.237.164.51/particracy/main/viewvariables.php?nationid=2#technology) The Alorian Industrial Space Station, therefore, is against current laws, and we propose that we privatize the space station to conform with said laws. |

| Message | This is a misinterpretation of Alorian Law. All the law says is that the gov may issue permits to private companies... it authorizes the gov to set whatever terms it wants to. Indeed, one of the terms for the authorization of this one, along with majority gov ownership, was that the permit could at any time be revoked by the President. If this law passes, then the permit will be revoked. |
