Message | "We go back and forth on this issue. Under longstanding legislation, energy is provided to consumers via private companies, as it should be. However, the Fascist Authority Party continues to shove the creation of state-owned power generators into random bills. This makes just as little sense as it did the last time that we went through this issue and then promptly passed the Energy (Privatisation) Act 2644. I trust that my honourable colleagues have not taken leave of their senses and will again support this measure to rectify our nation's energy policies." -Pieter Coetzee DM for Northern Luthorische Bai HNP Spokesman on Trade and Industry |

Message | This current law states that private and public owned establishments exist together, doesn't mean it's public its right off the bat government owned. The government is not establishing a monopoly on that industry. It makes no sense if the HNP attempt to reverse this law and then later on it goes back to way it was. The government does fund the public to make sure it is keeping up with it's task of taking care of the power grid but contrary to popular belief, it is not in charge. I see no real threat to the economy (or the grid) from the law we have right now and the HNP are making too much of a fuss about it. We do however like all the attention you're giving us in your proposals. |

Message | "According to the present laws, energy is provided by private companies. However, according to the FAP's ridiculous addition to the 'FAP Resolution of 2650', there are state-owned energy generators. In the HNP's opinion, it makes little sense to nationalise a portion of the energy generation sector but leaving the remainder of the energy sector private. A much more sensical policy is to leave the energy sector to the private sector, but provide subsidies to ensure adequate access to energy, which is the longstanding policy." -Pieter Coetzee DM for Northern Luthorische Bai HNP Spokesman on Trade and Industry |

Message | There are not state owned, they are public companies that are under the regulation of the government to make sure they are providing efficient protection ,and service of the grid. As I said before, they get funds from the government but are not in charge. They are not out there to make a huge profit but giving the people the light they deserve. If a public company screws up big, you can guarentee heads will roll, and changes will be made to continue their services as if a private company screws up big, they may go out of business, and their services won't continue. It makes perfect sense to have a fair balance who controls the national power gird. You have the private companies make their profits doing whatever and you have the government having the general (and rightful) oversight of this particular area of our nations energy generation. |
