From | Union Party | To | Debating the Contraception | Message | We disagree. These will increase sexual promiscuity. |
Date | 13:05:32, October 20, 2008 CET |
From | Patriciate Imperial League (UCF) | To | Debating the Contraception | Message | There is nothing wrong with people having sex, so long as they use protection. This allows that to happen. Considering people wish to make abortions illegal, they can at least allow people easy access to contraception. |
Date | 15:10:54, October 20, 2008 CET |
From | Federal Republican Party (UCF) | To | Debating the Contraception | Message | No, the government must not use taxepayers money to fund a useless project. Contraceptives arent expensive, people can buy them by theirselves. |
Date | 15:53:52, October 20, 2008 CET |
From | Left Socialist Party | To | Debating the Contraception | Message | If there so inexpensive, it won't hurt giving them out then...
We think its very usefull giving our nations' citizens the possibility to make love, without fearing to get pregnant, or having STD's... |
Date | 23:59:51, October 20, 2008 CET |
From | Union Party | To | Debating the Contraception | Message | This is a perversion of what is meant for marriage only. Both contraceptives and abortion are immoral. |
Date | 00:00:31, October 21, 2008 CET |
From | Union Party | To | Debating the Contraception | Message | Contraception does not prevent STDs, it throws the problem under the table. Condoms protect against only a few, and without 100% effectiveness. |
Date | 11:34:51, October 21, 2008 CET |
From | Patriciate Imperial League (UCF) | To | Debating the Contraception | Message | The UP is correct in stating that contraception does not have a 100% effectiveness. But ignoring the issue has a 0% effectiveness. Regardless of whether the UP views sex as a "marriage-only" act or not, it is something everybody is going to do no matter what and is something that can result in unwanted pregnancies and spread of disease. The small amount we spend on contraception will have a huge decrease in the amount of money spent on health care for diseases and abortions. |
Date | 12:59:16, October 21, 2008 CET |
From | Union Party | To | Debating the Contraception | Message | We much teach abstinance, which will have 100% effectiveness. Why should taxpayers pay for illicit cheap hookups in motels or public restrooms? What of small children seeing them? What of adolescant boys using them and wasting countless dollars, because they think they are funny to steal?
This is immoral and ridiculous, and another attempt to make Mordusia part of the ever growing number of, to echo our FRP brothers, communist states. |
Date | 18:08:50, October 21, 2008 CET |
From | Federal Republican Party (UCF) | To | Debating the Contraception | Message | The FRP wishes to congratulate the UP for its inspiring speech, they truly know the value of traditional, Judeo-Christian, Mordusian religious values. |
Date | 18:35:24, October 21, 2008 CET |
From | Party of the Wave (AU) | To | Debating the Contraception | Message | The PotW was just wondering when Judeo-Christian beliefs became the official religious belief of Mordusia?
Nowhere is it stated that this is the case. |
Date | 22:11:49, October 21, 2008 CET |
From | Federal Republican Party (UCF) | To | Debating the Contraception | Message | Judeo-Christianity is the religion of the overwhelming majority of Mordusians. Mordusia is traditionaly a very Christian country, roughly half Protestant (Lutheran, Presbyterian, Baptist and such) and half Coptic Catholic. The PotW should maybe check the last government census (OOC: wiki page). |
Date | 22:54:07, October 21, 2008 CET |
From | Party of the Wave (AU) | To | Debating the Contraception | Message | OOC: ah, i see it now. They spelled Rosh Hashana wrong. And the views of the FRP are more Christian than Judeo-Christian, since the majority of Jews are liberal leaning (pro-choice, pro-gun control, pro-gay marriage, etc) |
Date | 02:14:13, October 22, 2008 CET |
From | Ocean Submarine League of Progress | To | Debating the Contraception | Message | If small children see them, then their parents should explain what the items are. If not, well, we have sexual education. Any way you slice it, contraceptives like condoms reduce the transmission of STDs and STIs and reduce unwanted pregnancies. Let the people do what they wish to do. We should provide for their safety and well-being, and this surely does that. |
Date | 03:49:01, October 22, 2008 CET |
From | Union Party | To | Debating the Contraception | Message | A young child should not know what a condom is. Abstinance reduces unwanted pregnancies.
By providing contraceptives, we are not letting the people do as they wish. What of those who object to it, on moral grounds? Their money, taxes, are not used as they wish. We pledge to repeal this bill, should we get enough seats, and to protect all children from the Godless. |
Date | 04:12:12, October 22, 2008 CET |
From | Ocean Submarine League of Progress | To | Debating the Contraception | Message | Abstinence is only as effective as the people who pledge it, who are liable to renege. Condoms have a far lesser chance of reneging on the promise of preventing semen from getting fertilising an egg.
And what if people object to receiving condoms? They don't have to have them. This isn't mandatory contraception. This isn't forcing condoms, ah, down the throats of the unwilling. This provides a means for those who cannot afford such to be afforded the same protection as those who are able to purchase such. |
Date | 19:21:43, October 24, 2008 CET |
From | Federal Republican Party (UCF) | To | Debating the Contraception | Message | OOC: The FRP supports traditional Jewish values, which include being pro-life and anti-gay marriage. However Jews might vote IRL has nothing to do about how Mordusian Jews vote. |
