To ensure an adequate supply of organs for transplant in our hospitals, and get round the fact that it is incredibly difficult to get people to bother to sign up for doner cards, we should make people have to opt out rather than in. |

Message | I'm deeply uncomfortable about "opt out." The public is not well informed, and some people might have significant religious objections. If they don't know they have to opt out, then this could cause all sorts of civil rights issues. |

Message | Obviously it would have to be accompanied by heavy advertising and awareness campaigns - but it's the only way I can see to make sure we have enough organs for everyone who needs them. As for immigrants and "real" Mordussians, if you don't believe immigrants should play a full part in Mordussian society, then tighten up immigration controls and citizenship laws. |
