Bill: Gov.0047.2671 Amendment to Election Law

Details

Submitted by[?]: Conservative Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2672

Description[?]:

The reason for this amendment is because we feel that in situations like DSP's in the cabinet proposal http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=228825, DSP's abstain will be held against him in future cabinet proposals. We feel this would be unfair. This law makes that a party who has reached the block violation minimum requirements can still be include in a cabinet proposal during the election cycle.

This bill requires an absolute majority to come into effect, as per election law Article 4 (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=225528)

MessageJa. That was the original intend. But re-read the law. I didn't write it in.

2.1. A 'block' is defined as at least one (1) 'No' vote or at least two (2) 'Abstain' votes by the same party against any valid cabinet proposal during a legislative cycle, regardless of reason.

So, the block is set as it should be. That part is fine.

2. Should any party block a proposal in which they have been given proportional representation, they shall be excluded from the cabinet at hand and their seats redistributed to the rest of Sekowo\'s parties in a fair manner

"they shall be excluded". I never put in the 'veto' or whatever you wish to call it for the Tenno to ignore a block.

MessageNope, nothign else I can see needing improvement, you did a really good job the first time around.

Though at some point int he future an updated version might be needed if we end up with lots of amendments like before.
