Message | I beg you not to pass this law. This amendment grossly undermines our constitution, namely aritical ten, which states: (1) The opposition parties shall play a constructive role to ensure that the government and the ruling parties function in accordance with the provisions of this Constitution, provide good governance and strive to promote national interest and fulfil the aspirations of the people. Their aim must be to make the Government responsible, accountable and transparent. (2) The opposition parties shall have the right to oppose the elected Government and to question the Governments conduct of public business. |

Message | By taking away our right to propose a cabinet, you are taking away our right to participate, oppose, and question the elected government. This is borderline tyranny. Please, don't pass this to selfishly expand your own powers. Think of our posterity. Zachary L. Richardson, Chairman of the New Republic National Committee |

Message | While itisthejob of opposition parties to ensure the runningof an effective government, they don't need to bepart ofthe cabinet to do so. They are considered the "Opposition" because they aren't part of the partiesin power. Only the President, who more often than not is a member of the majority party, should propose a cabinet. It is the job of non-cabinet parties to construcitvely oppose the majority until they become the majority. Once they are the majority they have a right to form a cabinet of their choosing rather than being stuck with a cabinet that was formed by opposing parties with opposite ideologies. |

Random fact: Don't put "the" as the first word in your party name, because when parties are referred to in news reports, their names are preceded with "the", e.g. the [Socialist Party] has lost. |
