Bill: Income tax proposal of September 2674

Details

Submitted by[?]: Radical Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2675

Description[?]:

An even more Radical tax policy than previously promoted, this slashes tax for both the working poor and the upper working-class. It shifts the burden on the super-rich, who can well-afford tax increases, without damaging the balance of the budget. This tax policy will put money into the pockets of those who need it, and redistribute the wealth of those who keep it in excess.

MessageWe reluctantly voted in favor of the last attempt at instituting progressive taxation, but we cannot support this tax policy which is even more radically progressive. We feel that the most efficient way to cut taxes would be to cut wasteful spending to a level where we can offer a tax cut to every income bracket.

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections.
