Message | We feel that the government should not regulate this sort of thing. Television broadcasters will no longer be constrained by government censorship. While I personally would not watch such things if they were on television, I believe that, if citizens do wish to watch it, the government should not have the right to stop them. |

Message | We agree. Parents can judge what programs are good for their children, it is not the state's duty to do that. |

Message | You also must realize what comes out of our tvs are what the world will persive us as. Having hardcore porn just flowing through our airwaves is a bad idea. We should not regulate all of the content but we should atleast outlaw porn. |

Message | I am not saying that every television channel must show hardcore pornography, or even that any of them will. I am simply saying that the government should not have the right to tell them they can't. If the broadcaster willfully chooses not to broadcast pornography, that is their own choice. In all likelyhood, most television channels would not choose to broadcast such things, simply because they would lose most of their audience if they did. But that isn't the point. The point is that the broadcaster has the right to broadcast whatever they want. |

Message | We already have channels that show pornography 24/7... one only needs buy them... So, if one wants it, ask for it... if not, then don't ask for it or refuse it, and one won't receive it... And for people who like to watch it once in a while, when the kids are out, or what have you... well, we have parental locks these days... So that poses no problem either... We could argue over the idea, but it all comes down to personal preference... so, let the people choose, those who want shall receive, and those who do not shall not receive... |

This is what ecologically-minded socialists have been exploring for quite some time now." - Louis Proyect |
