Message | No one is saying we should not regulate banks; the banks themselves have tremendous incentive to maintain trustworthiness. A central bank is an entirely different animal. You are no longer trying to just keep banks honest, you are making the fatal conceit that you think you can command them. History has proven every single time that no human, organization or government has the omnipotent knowledge needed to control a market in this way. |
