Message | You call this a Civil Rights Act? This bill contains tons of infringements upon our citizens' rights! For starters, there is the undeniable truth that we cannot and must not allow guns to fall into the hands of criminals or mentally not-sane persons, then there is the right not to be forced to see someone else's private parts and the right not to be forced to see people have sex in public, then there is also the right to know what you're putting in your body which can only be ensured by other legislation, and finally there is the right not to be forced to live in someone else's filth because they're too lazy to clean up. |

Message | No, those are so-called "negative rights". You see, you have two types of rights, positive rights and negative rights. Positive rights can be described as "the right to ......." and negative rights can be described as "the right not to be .....". the right not to be murdered by a nazist regime is just one example of a negative right. We're surprised that parties that do not even know that can make it into the Federal Parliament. |
